PETALUMA, Calif. (January 10, 2001) — CamelBak Products today announced that Eagle Industries of Fenton, Mo., would become the U.S. distributor of its CamelBak Hands-Free Hydration™ Systems to the military and law enforcement markets. The arrangement brings together the two industry leaders in the fields of on-the-move hydration and tactical nylon products for the military and law enforcement markets. It will lead to lower prices, improved customer service, greater availability and faster product delivery, according to CamelBak. “Our partnership with Eagle Industries is an ideal match between two companies that have built their reputations and their businesses on the same basic principals – innovation, research and development, and a commitment to quality and customer service,” said Chuck Hunter, vice president of CamelBak’s military-industrial division. “We cannot envision a better partner for the distribution of our products to the U.S. military and law enforcement markets.” “Our tactical knowledge and CamelBak’s dominance in the hydration products field make for a perfect combination,” said John Carver, president and CEO of Eagle Industries. “We look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with CamelBak.” CamelBak systems, which are worn like a backpack or added to a larger pack, provide hands-free access to a cool, clean water supply anywhere and anytime. CamelBak systems allow military personnel to drink water on the move, which enables them to keep their eyes and hands focused on their mission. The systems are ideal for use in hot and humid conditions. CamelBak systems are used by every branch of the United States Military, the U.S. Border Patrol, tactical law enforcement, as well as the armed forces of many foreign countries. The CamelBak system enables all of these professionals to operate at peak performance.
