American Technologies Network has launched an interactive Web tool that allows users to view and adjust images from its ThOR Thermal Weapon Scopes.
The Thermal Device Simulator was developed for users of its military, law enforcement, security, outdoor night vision and thermal systems.
The simulator allows anyone to try the ThOR weapon sight from any computer or iPad. The company plans to roll out simulators for various Android devices and a smart phone app that will be available to stores that sell ATN products.
The idea for the simulator was propelled by the 2012 SHOT Show and was the brain child of ATN's Scott Henry, who wanted the ability to demonstrate the ThOR Weapon Sight beyond the confines of the show. Henry envisioned something that could be viewed online, while portable enough for dealers to install or link from their own websites, according to the company.
