Mongols Ex-Leader Pleads Guilty to Racketeering, Faces 20 Years in Prison

Ruben "Doc" Cavazos, the former Mongols motorcycle gang leader indicted with 78 others last year for allegedly ordering murders, extortion, drug trafficking, and attacks on gang opponents, has pleaded guilty to a count of racketeering that could send him to prison for 20 years.

Alleged Gang Member Will Be Tried For Drive-by Murders

Nationally Recognized "Gang Peacemaker" Arrested in Federal Gang Sweep

Alex Sanchez, executive director of Homies Unidos, was taken into custody by FBI agents this morning at his Bellflower, Calif., home. Sanchez and several members of MS-13, one of the nation's most ruthless and notorious gangs, were named as co-conspirators in the indictment, which will be unsealed later today, said FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller.
