Firearms Vendor Discharges Gun inside Chicago Police Academy

One of the vendors left a round in one of the guns and did not check it, before putting it on display.

A round unintentionally discharged by a firearms vendor inside the Chicago Police Academy shattered a glass display case and lodged in a wall.

Several gun company representatives were at the Chicago Police Education and Training Academy on Thursday. Police sources tell CBS Chicago one of the vendors left a round in one of the guns and did not check it, before putting it on display.

The vendor is reported to have pulled the trigger and the firearm discharged.

No one was injured.
