Ohio Officer Critically Wounded During Domestic Response

Clearcreek Township Police Chief John Terrill said Sgt. Eric Ney was shot in the head. He was in critical but stable condition Wednesday.

A Warren County, OH, police officer was critically wounded after a shooting during a domestic incident response Tuesday night. The suspect was killed by law enforcement.

Clearcreek Township Police Chief John Terrill said Sgt. Eric Ney was shot in the head. He was in critical but stable condition Wednesday, WCPO reports.

The Warren County Coroner's Office said Mark Evers, a 65-year-old horse trainer, was shot and killed during the incident. Court documents show that Evers faced a prior felony assault charge in 1999, which resulted in a no contact order.

Terrill said when they received the call for a domestic incident, police were told about an individual "ramming his wife's car with an ATV." He said police have received multiple calls to that location.
