Three Buffalo, NY, police officers were wounded Tuesday night when suspects shot at them multiple times during a pursuit that traveled the length of the city.

The incident began with a traffic stop on one side of the city and ended at the other side of the city, Buffalo News reports.

The officers were taken to the hospital for treatment. Gramaglia said one was in stable condition after surgery and the others sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The Commissioner said one was struck in his bullet-resistant vest and the other was struck by two shots, one in the bicep and another which grazed his ear.

Gramaglia said the officers were in separate patrol cars and were shot at different locations during the chase.

Two suspects were taken into custody. One of the suspects was hit by police gunfire and wounded, Gramaglia said. The suspect's condition has not been released.
