Pennsylvania Agency Mourns Loss of Beloved K-9

Officers with the Ross (PA) Township Police Department are mourning the loss of a beloved K-9 after the dog passed away suddenly during an emergency surgery.

Officers with the Ross (PA) Township Police Department are mourning the loss of a beloved K-9 after the dog passed away suddenly during an emergency surgery.

The agency said on its Facebook page, "It is with great sadness that the Ross Police Department announces the unexpected passing of K-9 Jimy following emergency surgery."

The agency said further that the police dog was a "great and valuable member" of the department and "will be sadly missed."

The social media post concluded, "Please keep Officer Allenbaugh and his family in your thoughts and prayers. K-9 Jimy served the residents of Ross Township for three years."
