Washington Trooper Saves Motorists from Wrong-Way Driver on Highway

A trooper with the Washington State Police stopped a wrong-way driver in Kitsap County on Friday, saving a number of motorists from potential impact with the oncoming cars.

A trooper with the Washington State Police stopped a wrong-way driver in Kitsap County on Friday, saving a number of motorists from potential impact with the oncoming cars.

According to CBS News, Trooper Jessica Schob responded to calls about a driver going the wrong direction on a state highway on Friday afternoon, using her patrol vehicle to slow down other drivers and then collided head-on with the wrong-way driver.

Trooper Schob suffered minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital where she was treated and released.

The wrong-way driver—identified by police only as a 39-year-old woman—was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence.
