The 78 greater Houston-area locations that participated in a fundraising effort for the family of fallen Harris County Sheriff's Office Deputy Sandeep Dhaliwal have extended the initiative to Friday.

According to ABC News, the chain offered to donate profits from Tuesday's sales but decided to extend the campaign when many locations were flooded with customers wanting to participate.

Papa John's apologized on Facebook for the longer than normal wait times, acknowledging that some orders took between two and four hours.
