A man accused of attacking a Honolulu police officer on Sunday has been charged with first-degree assault of a law enforcement officer, first-degree attempted theft and contempt of court.
According to HawaiiNewsNow.com, the man—identified as 36-year-oldRemington Troy Guyton—used a dangerous instrument to assault a police officer who was responding to an incident at a local bank.
The officer—who has not been identified—was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, where he was subsequently treated and released.
