A suspect wanted for the shooting death of one Auburn, AL, officer and the wounding of two others is in custody, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

ALEA reports Grady Wayne Wilkes, 29, was taken into custody Monday morning.

Auburn police say the three officers were responding to a domestic disturbance call about 10 p.m. When they arrived on the scene they were reportedly fired upon by the suspect, identified as Wilkes.

The two wounded officers were seriously injured but are expected to recover, WSFA reports.
