Each pad features a lightweight X-shaped TPU (thermal plastic urethane) shell that flexes naturally with the knee and elbow, yet creates a forceful spring-back action that provides protection where it is needed.

Hatch, known for its gloves and protective gear, has a new line of knee and elbow protection called XTAK. Each pad features a lightweight X-shaped TPU (thermal plastic urethane) shell that flexes naturally with the knee and elbow, yet creates a forceful spring-back action that provides protection where it is needed. In addition to shock-absorbing EVA high-density foam and abrasion-resistant Cordura nylon, the XTAK liner features DuPont’s CoolMax fabric designed to wick away moisture, reducing heat to the wearer. The XTAK knee and elbow pad system is offered in black, desert tan, and digitized camo.
