3 Philly Officers Injured, Suspect Killed During Warrant Operation

Three Philadelphia officers were injured and a suspect killed during a warrant operation Monday afternoon in the city's Tacony section. The suspect allegedly struck an undercover officer with a car. The suspect was killed when one of the officers opened fire.

The officer who was hit by the car suffered an injury to his right knee. Two other officers also were injured at the scene, but how they were hurt was unclear. All three officers were in stable condition at a local hospital, Philly.com reported Monday evening.

Undercover officers with the Northeast Narcotics Field Unit had been preparing to serve a search warrant at a house on Cottage Street when they saw the subject of their investigation driving the Camry, police spokesperson Capt. Sekou Kinebrew said.
