Two Minnesota police officers were struck by shotgun fire — one was shot in the shoulder and the other was shot in the leg area — on Thursday afternoon in South St. Paul.
The officers were following up on a missing persons report at a residential housing facility that offers support services, according to KMSP-TV.
The suspect in the shooting has been identified as Dustin Allen Bilderback, who was taken into custody without injury. He now faces eight charges including four counts of second degree attempted murder and another four for use of deadly force against a peace officer.
The officers' injuries have been described as non-life-threatening.
