2 Men Charged in Kidnapping, Sexual Assault of Kansas Deputy

Two men were charged Tuesday with kidnapping and sexually assaulting a Johnson County (KS) sheriff’s deputy who was abducted late Friday outside the Olathe detention facility where she worked.

Two men were charged Tuesday with kidnapping and sexually assaulting a Johnson County (KS) sheriff’s deputy who was abducted late Friday outside the Olathe detention facility where she worked.

William Luth, 24, of Blue Springs, and Brady Newman-Caddell, 21, of Independence, were each charged Tuesday in Johnson County District Court with two counts of rape and single counts of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sodomy.

Bond for each was set at $1 million, the Kansas City Star reports.
