NLEOMF to Add 286 Names to Memorial Wall, Hold Virtual Candlelight Vigil

NLEOMF's United By Light campaign allows people to host a Candlelight Vigil viewing event during National Police Week, when the names of 286 law enforcement officers will have been added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.

This week, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) began the solemn process of engraving the names of America's fallen law enforcement heroes on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. The names of 286 brave men and women will be added to the Memorial this year, bringing the total to 20,267 officers honored.

On May 13, NLEOMF will honor each of the officers at the Candlelight Vigil in Washington, DC. The organization's second annual United By Light campaign gives everyone, everywhere a chance to join in the vigil and honor the service and sacrifice of our nation's law enforcement officers. By donating and dedicating a virtual candle or hosting a Vigil viewing event, you can help support the engraving process—which costs nearly $250 for each name—and the important work of the Memorial Fund.
