Bill Bratton, the colorful and charismatic former police commissioner, was sworn in again as New York City’s top cop on Thursday, the New York Daily News reports.

It was an emotional ceremony at Police Headquarters — the stomping grounds Bratton left in 1996.

“Who says you can’t go home again?” Bratton said just after being sworn in as the city’s 42nd police commissioner. “It is home, and it’s great to be back.”
Mayor Bill de Blasio officiated at the hour-long ceremony, which opened with bagpipes and was attended by hundreds of cops.
