As a former street city cop who has been in federal law enforcement for more than 20 years, Contreras feels he understands the issues cops deal with on a daily basis. âOur mission is to reach and serve police officers who are undergoing emotional crisis and who are underserved and afraid to be labeled as âunfit for duty,ââ says Contreras.
Contreras is the founder and former chairman of the Federal Hispanic Law Enforcement Officers Association (FHLEA) and the International Persecuted Church Organization. He is a nationally certified Christian counselor and is affiliated and registered as a minister with the Assemblies of God USA. He is the senior pastor of the Mission Assembly of God in Yuma, Arizona.
