Rev. Dr. Miguel Angel Contreras is reaching out to local, state, and federal law enforcement officers in need of professional counseling by offering his services for free. Immediate family members of police officers also qualify for these free counseling services, which include treatment for depression due to wrongful termination, alcohol and drug substance abuse, job discrimination, and retaliation.

As a former street city cop who has been in federal law enforcement for more than 20 years, Contreras feels he understands the issues cops deal with on a daily basis. “Our mission is to reach and serve police officers who are undergoing emotional crisis and who are underserved and afraid to be labeled as ‘unfit for duty,’” says Contreras.

Contreras is the founder and former chairman of the Federal Hispanic Law Enforcement Officers Association (FHLEA) and the International Persecuted Church Organization. He is a nationally certified Christian counselor and is affiliated and registered as a minister with the Assemblies of God USA. He is the senior pastor of the Mission Assembly of God in Yuma, Arizona.

There are no requirements to qualify for Rev. Dr. Contreras’ free professional counseling services. Any retired or current local, state, or federal law enforcement officer and immediate family members are welcome to contact him anytime. Confidentiality is strictly observed.
