MasterPiece Arms will introduce its MPAR 556 rifle at SHOT Show 2013 in Las Vegas, and made it available for purchase by April 1, the company announced.

The AR-type rifle features a short-stroke piston design and a lightweight, free floating, two-piece aluminum hand guard with Picatinny rails. It will also include a front hand-guard cap to keep debris out of the internals of the hand guards. The MPAR 556 rifle will also contain a side folder six–position polymer buttstock, locked bolt action, and a side charging handle with forward-assist.

The MPAR 556 rifle will be phosphate/hard-coat anodized depending on the material. It will retail for $959.
