Glock's new G42 .380 caiiber pistol was one of the stars of Media Day at the Tange. The G42 functions just like the larger caliber Glocks. Reports from the range say the pistol is a smooth shooter that points really well.

Crye Precision had its new Six12 bullpup-revolving shotgun on display at the 2014 SHOT Show. The weapon can be mounted on an AR handguard/rail or on it’s own chassis. Beretta says its new Pico is the thinnest .380 auto made. The snag-free Pico's slide and frame are a true 18 millimeters at their widest point. The grip frame, sights, and caliber (go from a .380 to a .32ACP by changing the barrel) are all simple to modify. The chassis can accommodate a Lasermax Laser frame and be customized with a selection of colored frames.

SIG's new P320 the most discussed full-size handgun at the show. The striker-fired pistol was developed as a duty handgun. It is SIG's first striker-fired model. Available in two versions—Carry and Full-Size—the P320 offers a variety of options that allow users to tailor the hanguns to their needs and mission requirements. Both versions of the P320 are available with three different frame modules featuring different sizes of grips.

5.11 showed its Storm Grey collection of tactical gear. The company says the color is ideal for urban camouflage and much better than black.

The new Remington R51 is a flashback to the company’s Model 51 pistol, which was designed by John Pedersen in 1917 and popular in the 1920s. It features a 3.4-inch match grade barrel and is rated for +P ammunition. Capacity is 7 rounds plus one in the chamber. Point Blank showed its new Paraclete Alpha-1 tactical carrier. The carrier features the company’s new Selective Point Release System, which allows the wearer to quickly remove the armor by releasing three hook-and-loop enclosures. Assembly and disassembly is quick and easy and requires no manipulation of wires.
