The Indiana State Police is accepting applications to fill its 70th recruit class of future state troopers, the agency announced on its Website.
Applications are due Sunday (Feb. 28).

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, between the ages of 21 and 40, have vision correctable to 20/50, possess a valid driver's license, and have a high-school diploma or GED.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, between the ages of 21 and 40, have vision correctable to 20/50, possess a valid driver's license, and have a high-school diploma or GED.
A recruit is paid $1,417.40 bi-weekly during academy training. At the completion of academy training, the starting salary is $38,444 a year. The Indiana State Police also offers a health-care plan that includes medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy coverage for both current and retired employees, along with their families.
The agency's pension program provides a lifetime pension after 25 years of service. Visit the Indiana State Police Website for more information.
