Raytheon will deliver a 14-site P25net digital trunked radio communications solution and provide system integration services including equipment configuration and 24-hour technical support. The system includes additional components from Tait Radio Communications.

"This deployment represents the core philosophy of interoperability," said Jerry Powlen, vice president of Integrated Communications Systems, Raytheon. "First responders spanning a five-county area have joined to implement a standardized wide area interoperable communications solution to achieve efficient joint command and control throughout their region."

"Taking advantage of a standards-based IP platform and a distributed architecture, Raytheon's P25net provides first responders with an affordable P25 radio system," said Tony Hafla, president, Teton Communications Inc.

Raytheon Company, with 2007 sales of $21.3 billion, is a technology leader specializing in defense, homeland security and other government markets throughout the world.
