The simple answer here is “no.” The solicitor’s office personnel can discuss an upcoming trial physically wherever they feel comfortable whether there is a CJI terminal in the room or not. The protections afforded the information considered CJI would be the responsibility of the person who has control over it, whether it be on a computer monitor or in printed format. This information can be found in Section 5 “Policy and Implementation” of the CJIS Security Policy, moreover Section 5.1.1.1, which deals specifically with information handling. To dive technically deeper, refer to Section 5.12 Policy Area 12: Personnel Security where in 5.12.1.1 number 9 the CSP goes so far as to give guidance for support personnel, contractors, custodial workers, etc. who would have access to physically secure locations or controlled areas unless they are escorted by authorized personnel at all times.
