Taft School Staff Convinced Suspect to Put Down Weapon
One student was shot in the upper right chest on Thursday at Taft Union High School. A teacher and school administrator were able to talk to the suspect and convince him to give up his weapon, reports Reuters.

A student opened fire with a shotgun Thursday morning at a rural California high school, injuring two before he was taken into custody. One person received minor injuries and refused medical attention while the other, a student, was airlifted to a local hospital.
