Officers pursued the suspect. At a nearby intersection the suspect and lead pursuing police vehicle made it through the intersection, however the second pursuing Eureka PD vehicle was involved in a collision with an uninvolved motorist.

West Des Moines Police Officer Jon Kaufman was waiting for a tow truck as part of a traffic stop near Westown Parkway on Interstate 35 just after midnight Sunday when another vehicle driven by John Schwartz, 61, of Kellogg, crashed into his patrol car.

Mississippi Officer Injured in Fiery Pursuit Crash
Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey shared a post on Facebook from John W. Hamilton, the father of Richland Officer Coty Hamilton, who said his son crashed into a tree and his patrol car burst into flames. John Hamilton said in the post that two officers pulled his son out of the burning vehicle.

SC Deputy Killed in Traffic Stop Incident
Sheriff Hobart Lewis said in a press conference that Master Deputy Conley Jumper, 52, effected a traffic stop around 3 pm Tuesday. During that stop, at least one of the occupants of the vehicle reportedly started fighting with Jumper.
