In-Service Cop Cars: Dodge Charger Pursuit
In the the race to replace the Ford Crown Vic on patrol, the Dodge Charger Pursuit arguably had a leg up on the competition, because Chrysler introduced it in 2006 and has worked out some of the initial kinks in the transition from a retail to police vehicle. Washington State Patrol Replacing Crown Vics With Caprice PPV
The Washington State Patrol has begun the process of replacing 650 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptors with the Chevrolet Caprice PPV. The agency has just begun the process and currently has five Caprice PPV sedans in the fleet.

Mass. Agency Chooses Chevy Caprice for Duty
Starting this fall, the look of police cruisers in Lowell, Mass., will begin to change dramatically as the department begins buying 2013 Chevrolet Caprice police-patrol vehicles now that the ubiquitous Ford Crown Victoria is out of production.

Chevy Caprice PPVs Arrive for Wash. Sheriff
The Yakima County (Wash.) Sheriff's Office took delivery of 17 Chevrolet Caprice patrol vehicles, replacing more than half its patrol fleet of Ford Crown Victorias.

NYPD Picks Ford P.I. Sedan As New Patrol Car
The city has entered into a preliminary agreement to purchase Ford's P.I. sedan or Ford's P.I. Utility for patrol officers. The NYPD's Support Services Bureau has begun developing a contract to purchase the vehicles from a New York dealer.

The Virginia State Police have ordered 144 2013 Ford Police Interceptor sedans to begin replacing a fleet of aging Ford Crown Vics.

Kentucky State Police Choose Chevy Caprice for Patrol
The state police purchased 125 of the vehicles, 100 in gray and 25 in tan, for use by the agency's Commercial Enforcement Division. These models will replace KSP's aging fleet of 2004–10 models.

Fla. Sheriff Buys Ford Police Interceptor Sedans
The Marion County (Fla.) Sheriff's Office has received the first vehicle in an initial delivery of 36 new Ford Police Interceptor sedans equipped with 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engines. The sheriff's office stated it is receiving four to five new Police Interceptors each week and will have 60 to 70 new vehicles within a few months.
