Suspected Killer of FL Deputy Arrested After Multi-Day Manhunt
The 35-year-old has been on the run since Friday, Sept. 24, after he was named as the suspect who shot Deputy Joshua Moyers twice, including once in the back, during a traffic stop in Callahan, FL. Moyers died of his injuries two days later.

Houston Police Union Demands Judge Resign Over Release of Accused Cop Killer
Magistrate Lionel Castro set bond amounts for Ledet at $20,000 and $40,000 on Nov. 17, 2020. The next day, on Nov. 18, the District Attorney’s office asked for the bond to be denied because Ledet had two felony convictions. Instead, the DA’s office said Judge Greg Glass of the 208th District Court lowered the bond amounts to $10,000 and $20,000.

Gang Member Convicted of Killing CA Officer
Jurors deliberated for less than two hours Tuesday before reaching their verdict in the trial of Michael Christopher Mejia, 30. The verdict was read Wednesday morning, with the panel convicting Mejia of two counts of first-degree murder and single counts of attempted murder, carjacking and possession of a firearm by a felon.
