The department said on Twitter, "Officers attempted to take a suspect into custody for a vandalism crime. The suspect ran from the officers. While taking the suspect into custody in the street, both were stuck by an oncoming vehicle. One officer is in stable condition. The suspect has life threating [sic] injuries."
