Georgia Officer Run Over by Truck Suffers Severe Injuries

An officer with the Fairburn (GA) Police Department was investigating a suspicious person in a hotel parking lot when he came upon a subject—identified as Taurean McShan—in a vehicle. The officer—who has not yet been identified—made contact with the subject, who then reportedly fled in his rented truck.

The officer was struck, and according to WSB-TV , run over.

The agency posted to its Facebook page on Sunday, "Our officer is currently undergoing surgery and has serious injuries from being run over. We will keep you posted on his status."
