Deputies with the Broward County (Fla.) Sheriff's Office used tear gas to end a standoff with a suspect who had threatened officers and was seen with a knife, the Miami Herald reports.
The agency's SWAT unit was called out to the suspect's Pompano Beach apartment, after he ran from officers. He was seen with a knife and had also threatened himself.
