Benchmade introduced several knives and multi-tools at the 2011 SHOT Show, including its 915 Triage utility folder that includes a knife, safety hook and glass breaker.
The utility knife weighs 5.1 ounces and is ideal for cutting seat belts, clothing, boots or tape, according to a rep at the Benchmade booth. An ambidextrous thumb-stud opener deploys a modified sheepsfoot-style blade, which is made from corrosion-resistant steel.
Next is a hook-shaped safety cutter that folds up toward the back of the tool, which also includes a carbine glass breaker.
Textured G10 handles are available in black or safety orange and are mounted to full stainless steel liners. The knife includes a deep pocket reversible tip-up clip.
The knife will retail for between $160 and $180, depending on the version. An optional sheath (in black or coyote tan) is available for $25.
