Federal authorities have arrested a New York City police officer for helping the leader of a violent heroin trafficking crew, including providing him an NYPD parking placard.

Federal authorities have arrested a New York City police officer for helping the leader of a violent heroin trafficking crew, including providing him an NYPD parking placard.

Officer Devon Daniels worked with heroin trafficker Guy Curtis of the Pov City crew, by running license plates and accepting drug payments for Curtis, reports the New York Times.

Agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration learned about Officer Daniels, after they began wiretapping Curtis's phone in April 2011.
