A gunman shot and killed a Douglas County (CO) Sheriff’s deputy, and wounded four other deputies and two civilians at an apartment complex during a domestic violence call early Sunday morning, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said.
About 5:15 a.m., deputies responded to the Copper Canyon Apartments in Highlands Ranch.
A gunman opened fire, hitting five deputies and two civilians. One deputy was confirmed dead and the six others were taken to hospitals, the sheriff’s office told KDVR TV.
