Video: West Virginia Teen Donates Horse to Ohio Police Department's Mounted Unit

A 13-year-old donated his horse—named Sam—to the Columbus Division of Police in Ohio.

A 13-year-old boy in West Virginia—who wants to one day be a police officer—has made an unbelievable gesture of support to his local police agency. He donated the horse he raised from a colt to the agency's mounted unit.

According to Fox News, 13-year-old Ben Wagstaff donated his horse—named Sam—to the Columbus Division of Police in Ohio.

"Normally we're looking for [monetary] donations. We don’t have people coming to us saying, 'Hey, we've got horses,'" said Sergeant Bob Forsythe in a video on Facebook.
