A motor officer with the Denver Police Department was seriously injured in a traffic collision on an Interstate on Tuesday night.

A motor officer with the Denver Police Department was seriously injured in a traffic collision on an Interstate on Tuesday night.

According to CBS News, the officer—a 15-year veteran with the department—was attempting to conduct a traffic stop when the crash occurred. The other vehicle was not involved and did stop following the incident.

The officer was transported to a nearby hospital where his condition has not been released to media.
