A Tucson, Arizona, police officer was killed in a crash Sunday March 31 while responding to a call for service with lights and sirens activated.
Tucson Police Chief Chad Kasmar told KOLD the crash that killed Officer Adam Buckner occurred around 10 p.m.
Chief Kasmar said Officer Buckner was responding Code 3 when another vehicle failed to yield the right of way.
Officer Buckner joined TPD in November 2021 as a lateral officer from New Orleans Police where he worked four years. He was the midtown division’s officer of the month just last June.
Chief Kasmar said the driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries and there were no signs of impairment.
