Nascar's Jeff Gordon hosted two officers shot in the line of duty as a tribute to law enforcement survivors during a race at the Dover International Speedway.
Detective James Spicer of the Dover (Del.) PD and Kyle Russel of the Alexandria City (Va.) PD were hosted by DuPont and Gordon at the Saturday race, according to NASCAR.com. The officers were both wearing body armor made of Kevlar fibers produced by DuPont.
Gordon also drove a special police cruiser inspired paint scheme to promote the education and awareness of the National Law Enforcement Museum breaking ground in Washington, D.C., next month.
