A former Orlando (Fla.) Police officer told investigators he "got into a funk" and "lost it" before fatally shooting his 22-year-old son.
Timothy Allen Davis Sr., 47, has been charged with first-degree murder after police said he shot Timothy Davis Jr. once in the chest with a .38-caliber handgun in the garage of their Apopka home.
Davis Sr. is an 18-year veteran who retired as a lieutenant from the force in 2006.
