The Penn State Board of Trustees appointed former FBI director and federal judge Louis J. Freeh as the special investigative counsel in charge of conducting an independent investigation into the child sex abuse scandal involving former PSU defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky, trustee Kenneth Frazier said Monday.
The results of the investigation will be made available to the public, said Frazier, who led a press conference at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia, reports the New York Daily News.
"No one is above scrutiny," Frazier added of Freeh's probe.
