A third city in San Mateo County, Calif., has elected to dissolve its police department and contract services to the sheriff's department.
The Millbrae City Council voted Tuesday to disband the city's force and outsource patrol services to the sheriff as a cost-cutting measure to save an estimated $1.1 million a year, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.
In the past year, the sheriff has contracted with San Carlos and Half Moon Bay after those cities dissolved their forces.
