Video: Cops Shoot, Kill Man with Metal Bar at Carl's Jr.
A man attempting to break into a Carl's Jr. restaruant was fatally shot by a Monterey Park (Calif.) Police officer after swinging a metal bar at the officer in a clip that has gone viral.
A man attempting to break into a Carl's Jr. restaurant was fatally shot by a Monterey Park (Calif.) Police officer after swinging a metal bar at the officer in a clip that has gone viral.
No officers were injured in the shooting, which was reported about 9:30 a.m. at a Carl's Jr. near Cesar Chavez Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue.
A man with a 3-foot metal bar can be seen leaving the restaurant. Once outside, officers ordered him several times to drop the bar. After ignoring the command, one of the officers used a TASER.
The man continues to advance, moved closer to officers, and swung the bar at them. One officer then fires several shots, striking the man.
