A 23-year-old felon with a history of arrests for illegal guns and assaults has confessed to being part of the robbery team that killed Philadelphia Police Officer Moses Walker Jr.
Jones has been charged in the officer's killing. At a press conference today, Commissioner Charles H. Ramsey said police are looking for a second suspect who is seen in video surveillance footage with Jones, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer .
Jones was allowed to walk free from a Philadelphia prison on Aug. 8, just 10 days before Walker was gunned down. And although a judge ordered Rafael Jones to be fitted with an electronic monitoring device, he apparently never was, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer .
Jones had three previous arrests as an adult for illegal guns or assaults. He served four years in prison on a gun conviction.
