A Woodruff (S.C.) Police officer shot and killed a pregnant woman who attempted to run him down with a vehicle to prevent the arrest of the driver.

A Woodruff (S.C.) Police officer shot and killed a pregnant woman who attempted to run him down with a vehicle to prevent the arrest of the driver.

After the officer pulled over the vehicle, Matthew Simmons jumped out of the car. The officer chased him on foot, and Lacey Lamb attempted to run down the officer with the vehicle. The officer fired, striking and killing Lamb. Her baby also died.

Simmons was arrested and charged with his third driving under suspension offense, reports the Daily Mail.
