Police say two brothers accused of bombing the Boston Marathon on Monday attended Boston-area colleges. They were born in the Russian region near Chechnya, but have attended U.S. schools.
One suspect was killed early Friday morning in a shootout with police while the other one is on the run and considered armed and dangerous. The younger brother who remains on the run, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, is enrolled at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. The older brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, was an engineering student at Bunker Hill Community College, reports USA Today. UMass is closed and is being evacuated.
