A 1999 silver Toyota 4Runner belonging to a missing Virginia police reserve captain was recovered in Louisa County, Va., on Monday, the News Virginian reports.
The Virginia State Police said the abandoned vehicle belonging to Kevin W. Quick, 45, was spotted by a Louisa County Sheriff's deputy. Virginia State Police Spokeswoman Corinne Geller said state police investigators were examining the vehicle in hopes of getting further clues about Quick's whereabouts.
Quick, a 23-year veteran with the Waynesboro Police Department's Auxiliary Unit, disappeared Friday night after leaving his mother's Afton home about 10:15 p.m. He was headed to a friend's home at the Turtle Creek Apartments in Albemarle County, a trip of about 20 miles.
He was reported missing by family on Saturday. Geller said investigators are eager to talk to two adult males who may have information about Quick. Photographs of the two males have been obtained by police, and Quick's vehicle appears in the photos.
Investigators with the Virginia State Police told the News Virginian Monday new information suggests foul play was involved in the disappearance.
