Today the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) participated in a Thunderclap urging Congress to take up the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Reauthorization Act. The previous program that treated thousands of Americans suffering from 9/11 related injuries and illnesses expired on September 30th of this year.
"More than 70,000 first responders and survivors from across the country are in need of monitoring or treatment from the heinous attacks on our country that fateful day," said Don Mihalek, Legislative Director. "It's imperative that Congress act now to ensure that our heroes are afforded the treatment and care they deserve."
