A Saraland, AL, police officer was shot in the head and a suspect was killed Wednesday when officers responded to a domestic violence call.
The officer has been identified as veteran Jackie Tucker. According to Mobile District Attorney Ashley Rich, Tucker is in critical but stable condition.
Tucker's husband is a member of the Mobile Police Department, WBRC TV reports.
Officials have also confirmed that the suspect, 27-year-old Matthew Blake Richardson, is dead.
