Idaho Deputy Stabbed, Suspect Killed in Trailer Park Call

According to Elmore County Sheriff Mike Hollinshead, a deputy and an officer from the Mountain Home Police Department were called out to a trailer park in northwest Mountain Home just before 11:30 p.m.

A man is dead and a deputy is injured after a Monday night attack in a Mountain Home, ID, trailer park.

Law enforcement was responding to a report that a man with a gun was in the area. When they arrived on the scene, they approached a man who matched the description of the armed person.

According to the sheriff's office, Aaron M. Thompson attacked the deputy and officer, and the deputy was stabbed several times. Both he and the officer fired rounds at the man, killing him

The wounded deputy was treated and released at a local hospital, KTVB TV reports.
