A Cal Poly Pomona security officer was fatally stabbed while seated in the driver’s seat of his vehicle on Friday afternoon.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant John Corina said during a news conference, “The scene was quite brutal—a lot of blood.”
The 39-year-old public safety employee—who has not yet been identified—was found by another campus employee and police were called.
Officers responding to the incident reportedly found the 31-year-old male suspect and fatally shot him, according to the LA Times.
