Two officers with the Oakland (CA) Police Department were attacked by a domestic violence suspect on Tuesday, according to the East Bay Times.
The officers suffered cuts and bruises and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The officers had responded to a 911 call from a woman who said that her ex-boyfriend was at her front door with a firearm—a gun was recovered from the man when he was taken into custody.
The suspect's name was not released—nor were the names of the two officers.
